Maite González Laurens won the 3rd Joan Cabanas-Alibau Photography Grant with this work on the search for vital paths. Five stories of drifting trips.

“I am interested in stories, building stories, expressing feelings and thoughts through series of photographs, in which each one is a part of a whole, and each one takes on a meaning in contact with other images, which in isolation can not be read as I intend. My works tend to have a rather narrative meaning and are directly linked to the “landscape”, which I use as a thread to speak symbolically on contemporary human subjects. This is a search for a connection, always uncertain, between the human being and the world.”
